I found another Seiko clock tower while looking at some photos on the web. This one was once located at the open area outside People’s Park food centre. From what I know, the clock tower is no longer there as the area has been renovated.
The clock tower was located inside a man made pond and fountain. I guess the pond got removed because the water level in it was considered dangerous to kids when the fountain was in operation. Too bad, the poor Seiko clock got implicated and was removed as well. (遭池鱼之殃)
Nowadays, fountains in shopping malls look like this one below without the pond.
Here’s an enlarged version of the photo. It is not very clear but you can roughly make out the ‘Seiko’ word on the clock.
